Detroit Lions Madden 19 Team Guide: Ratings & Best Players & Review
After generating the playoffs in 2016, Detroit Lions came into 2017 with hopes of competing for the NFC North title and pushing deep into the postseason. Two convincing wins to open the season against Arizona as well as the Giants have been followed by per week 4 win more than the Vikings that seemed to have them well positioned for the rest of your year. Then the difficult schedule started to bite. They lost narrowly to Carolina just before being steamrolled by the Saints. A post-bye week loss to Pittsburgh dragged the Lions the wrong side of .500. They got back on the horse against a weakened Packers team just before beating Clevland and Chicago, but a loss to Minnesota derailed them again and they sooner or later missed the playoffs using a 9-7 record.

Matt Stafford has been snubbed once once more in Madden 19 Ratings, people. He once more begins the season rated much less than 90 overall after once more, regardless of being third within the league in passing yards final season and fourth in passing touchdowns. His rating? A lousy 85 general. Behind Stafford is absolutely nothing quite, as if he goes down, the season is lost for Detroit. The running backs are an fascinating group. Newest Lion, LeGarrette Blount leads the pack using a shocking 87 overall, with Theo Riddick and Ameer Abdullah behind with an 84 and 82 general. Rookie Kerryon Johnson features a 73 rating, which is a tad lower than I would have had him, when rookie fullback Nick Bawden is really a 67 all round.

There is new leadership in Detroit with new Lions head coach Matt Patricia. There's excitement to be had in it too. Patricia has been a tremendous defensive coordinator together with the New England Patriots and of every person which has coached below Bill Belichick, he seems to carry a lot of in the very same traits. Difficult, hardworking and intelligent. He has pieces also. The defense is young and hungry, Matthew Stafford and Golden Tate can do harm on the scoreboard (and don't be surprised to view the run game take off this year, too). The Lions are inside a challenging division. Chicago is coming up with a young QB and new head coach also, and obviously the Vikings and Packers are once again playoff threats in the NFC. That said, there's no explanation to consider the Lions can not make the playoffs and as soon as you do, something can come about.
